The landmass of Euro Asia, located in the North and Eastern Hemisphere is a chockfull of natural, historical and cultural wonders. This region is definitely worth a visit in your lifetime. I am going to tell why you should add Euro Asia holidays to your bucket list in 2018!
Thailand is known as the “The Land of Smiles” and for good reason. From beautiful, white sandy beaches – everyone’s wish in a relaxing holiday, to architecture revealing the lifestyle of former kingdoms, to rich, vibrant markets with all sorts of gems and treats, Thailand is definitely one of the best destinations I have been to.Thailand has something for everyone, making it one of the best family holidays in Asia.
My first point of call in Thailand was the city of Bangkok, where I visited the Grand Place, the most famous site in Bangkok. The Grand Place is a buildings complex which was the official residence of the kings of Siam (modern day Thailand). The palace features many structures, halls and pavilions which sit around beautiful, open lawns, flower gardens and patios. One of the reasons the Grand Place is special is its rich history, seeing as additions and rebuilding to it were done over a period of 200 years by successive regimes.
As a history buff, I next made my way to the city of Ayutthaya, the haunted but beautiful ruins which were the capital of Siam before being razed down by the Burmese in 18TH century. The place has simply gigantic Buddhist monasteries, which give a glimpse of the former majesty and splendor of the city.
